	Here is my belated apology for changing my mind about accepting
the invitation to take part in the IBM symposium.  As I told you, I
was to take part in a similar IBM symposium in Germany.  It became clear
to me that I would have to return immediately and that I would make
a long trip for a one hour lecture, and that this wasn't worthwhile.
Alas, it quickly turned out that the Japanese trip would have to be
made under just such conditions, with no opportunity to visit longer
in Japan because of other commitments, and therefore I had to turn it
down.

	I would have liked to take part, and would have done so had there
been time.

	I hope I didn't embarrass you.
